One more book fair, a book in the air.

LIVING PAGE ART FESTIVAL

We recently joined another wonderful event, Living Page Art Festival in Beijing, organized among others by the Ullens Center for Contemporary Art (UCCA, a leading independent institution of contemporary art) and Paragon Book Gallery (specialized in Asian art, established in 1942). This event gathered all kind of printed papers and craftwork printers but also some independant publishers and bookstores dedicated mainly to visual art. The event also hosted some talks and sharing sessions. The best of it : the late closing offered to long-time workers the chance to come and play.

It was also the chance for us to officially launch our freshly printed new publication “Whisper of the snow” by the Japanese photographer Juri Ishiwata.

A nice opus through Hokkaido’s winter, borrowing its style from the Japanese masters of the late 20th century. The expert eye can see similarities with historic and iconic series from other Japanese photographers, the amateur can enjoy the small nuances and the three chapters story, ending with a message of hope. The book starts with an essay by the Japanese photography specialist and Ashmolean Museum of Oxford’s curator Lena Fritsch.
