The Hangzhou Art Book Fair (HABF) is a huge art fair dedicated to published and printed items, not only dedicated to photobooks but to all kind of art books, from coffee table books to Xerox zine, from silk screen craft artworks to Riso print books. A big mix of illustrators, graphic studio, galleries and more!

The fair venue is a wonderful building designed by the japanese architect Tadao Ando, the Liangzhu Culture and Art Center, offering a nice view in and out from every angle. This very nice place covered by a nice park and flower gardens also hold an incredibly beautiful library.
Even with the actual world health situation, the fair was electric, dragging a huge amount of visitors, unfortunately queuing outside at some moments in a rainy day.

For our lucky visitors, free candies, free face masks, postcards and various gifts, …and the pleasure to get a hand on our books for real. The book as a physical object is something no technologies can beat, and our curated selection of publications has also nice stories to tell.

Big thanks to the organizers for making this event going smoothly, and thanks too to the generous exhibitors who greets me with gifts.
It was great to meet you Hangzhou, hope we’ll meet again!
