It will be too early for the traditional hanami -花見- (the sakura bloom viewing) but we’re sure it will still be a very pleasant time because …
We’ll be back in Japan for the second edition of Photobook JP, the art book fair dedicated to photobooks from February 28th to March 3d, 2019.
It’s the major events of CP+ for photobook lovers, and it’s FREE. (Pre-registration required, see the link below). We’ll be located in the same area as the ONAEBA photographer’s exhibition.
The place is Osanbashi hall, 1-1-4 Kaigan-dori, Naka-ku, Yokohama 231-0002
Phone: +81-45-211-2304 (Osanbashi Office)
It’s bout a 7-minute walk from Nihon-Odori Station on the Minatomirai Line or 15-minute walk from JR Kannai Station.
Collectors: on your marks!
This year, visitors of the Osanbashi hall will have the pleasure to get a very special gift: a special zine featuring works by the Japanese photographer Daisuke Yokota (Winner of the FOAM Paul Huf Award in 2016) especially for the event. The zine will be created in four different versions, and each day of the event it will be distributed a different version of the zine free of charge. For the production of the zine’s four editions, organizers had work together with four different designers and four different printing companies, each of which will exert their unique printing expertise in order to create a true premium zine.
CP+ is a huge event covering several locations in YOKOHAMA (see map below), covering a huge exhibitions fair of the major brands displaying the latest technology in cameras and related products, but also an exciting second hand and collector camera market, with a lot of famous shops represented.
You’ll find during the CP+ fair, a lot of events and seminars (Most of them are free but some need a fee participation) check who and what here : http://www.cpplus.jp/en/visitor/
Also, you’ll be able to visit numerous exhibitions during the time of the fair (and lasting longer for some of them) in and around the city, check the CP+ website.
And don’t forget, there will be awesome talks at PhotobookJP with important guests: “How to reprint Provoke”,with Teru Too (from Nitesha) and Bun May, Photo historian, “At that time, in Shinjuku 80’s” with Koji Onaka (Photographer) and Kenji Takagawa (Photo critic), and more…
Last not least, it will be the opportunity to get a hand over our publications. What is better than having the real products in your hands, feeling the quality and enjoying the depth of the prints? And maybe you’ll get nice free gifts (for the early customers at our booth). You’re welcome to discover our recent publications about the void along the french shore, artificial intelligence or sentimental intimates stories.
Hope to see you there!
