If you have been surfing around on photography networks, websites and blogs these last three years, your eyes have necessarily flew over the dreamy pictures of Fabien Fourcaud, maybe without noticed…
Just have a look at the amount of links shared below (scroll down), and maybe some are missing, we apologize to the missing ones (contact us, we’ll update!)
Since a while, his series initially called “hors-saison” has been growing and gaining popularity, even changing its name to get more universal as “Off-season”.
Even more, the website MORE WITH LESS put it in the top 5 Photographic series last December, this going along with the nomination of Fabien in the TOP 50 artists selected by LensCulture this winter.
We luckily start collaborating last year, for a printed version of this wonderful wandering, along the french coast when the tourists are gone, where only the skeleton of the holidays remains.
“During the waiting phase, only materials, shapes, colors and lights remain. A beach does not exist anymore, just a sea side and sand. All the waste having disappeared along with the humans, bins are put on hold.” Said Fabien to Ermal Alkia in an interview.
This particular moment in the infinite loop of seasons was fixed in a marvelous book of 112 pages. This pink cloth hardcover item holds fine reproductions on a superb 175g art paper with a color palette which looks stolen from Giorgio Morandi.
You can decide of the speed of your personal stroll through this mix of urban and shore fixed frames, just like the light breath of the wind, stop by or turn around the remains of summertime like a salty tepid breeze or glance like a cold gust.
Good news, you can buy one copy HERE.
