Happy new year dear photolovers.
The success of our last signed author, the popular Fabien Fourcaud, musn’t hinder us in discovering and supporting new talents.
Said and done! We already have two new chefs cooking some visual recipes for you. But more than giving you too much appetizers we would like to talk a little about ingredients.
Is emotion a reproductible matter?
One of our new talented photographer slowly cooked moments documenting the sentimental relations sparkling between human beings. Both personal archives and excerpts from a specific project started in 2014 will merge in a volume with a very singular narrative, with humans, flowers and water interacting with each other. How to summarize that? If words are necessary, maybe visual references will help.
Let’s say it’s …
David Lynch introducing chaotic romance in a Wong Kar Wai movie.
Guess you couldn’t visualize until it’s done and available.
The Japanese photographer Keiko Nomura will help you to get the feeling of it in a short introduction. (translated in Japanese, Chinese and English)
Will Sophia destroy all humans?
About our second talent, let’s say his photographic work will be the raw materials to create something totally accurately actual in our modern era. It will question the human as maker and maybe highlight the limitation to the power we give to intelligent machines … today.
Nothing to be afraid yet… we hope.
This photographer, also a brilliant interaction designer deeply rooted in critical design, making the speculative design a reality, was the father of a very special camera, few years ago, who takes pictures only under specific conditions… maybe you heard about that.
I cannot say more without wasting the surprise of the book’s topic.
Also, we’ll keep exploring new design and new papers to enhance a bespoke display for each author, but without any compromises on high quality.
See you soon?
