Our last author on signature session at Paragon Beijing.

Under the bright sun of this last Saturday, September 9th, we had the chance to receive M. Li Zhaohui the artist photographer who left his 20 years career in the medical field to become a full-time artist. Sharing the same passion for photography, we were happy to published this year his major project “SPECIMEN, Human organs under a ruler” a wonderful serie mixing a tough subject and a soft approach in the realisation. A very nice book pushing boundaries of what is a well-printed book in the art field, offering also some keys to the author understanding through forewords and an interview conducted by the finnish artist Maija Tammi, all this in Chinese, English and Japanese.

The official launch and signature took place at the Paragon Book Gallery of Beijing, in the Central Academy of Fine Art of China area. The impressive collection of books displayed in this bookstore always amazed the art lovers but, thanks to the nice weather, the event took place in the cosy courtyard outside the bookstore, where a weekend art-market attracts an audience made of curious wanderers, fancy arts students and other passers, looking for an artist photography, crazy earrings, ravishing flowerpots garnished with succulents, handmade hats or even a tattoo. Everyone was invited to join for a drink or a cake under the shade of our parasol for a break, and also welcome to enter discussion with M. Li. It was a very pleasant time and we would like to thank all the people who join our table, even for a short moment.
Thank you M. Li for your presence and the time shared with people.
Thanks again everyone at Paragon Book Gallery for kindness and assistance.
